Argentina’s Mendoza Tax Authority Will Accept Crypto Taxes and Fees

The Mendoza Tax Administration (ATM), a tax authority in the Western Province of Argentina, has announced the integration of a new feature on the official government website that allows taxpayers to pay taxes and fees in using cryptocurrencies.

On August 27, the official announcement said the ATM added the “Pay Online” button on the website. This decision is part of the modernization and innovation initiative of the Mendoza tax administration.

However, tax settlement will not yet be fully controlled by the administration. The tax paid in cryptocurrencies will be converted into pesos by an unknown online payment service company and then remitted in cash to the government.
