Conservative Peer Leaves Binance Amid Crypto Crisis

Lord Johnson of Marylebone, the former minister, has resigned as an adviser to a subsidiary of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange.

He joined Bfinity, the payments arm of Binance, in September. The financial regulator blacklisted Binance last year for failing to comply with money laundering controls.

Johnson is one of many peers involved in cryptography. Lord Hammond of Runnymede, the former chancellor, joined cryptocurrency trading firm Copper.co in October last year as a senior adviser to help with strategy.
