Crypto Price Today Live: Bitcoin Holds Over $27,800; Litecoin, Dogecoin drop up to 4%

New Delhi: Prior to the Federal Reserve’s policy decision on Wednesday, cryptocurrency markets were trading slightly lower today. Bitcoin (BTC) was below the $27,800 level, while Ethereum (ETH) was below the $1,750 level.

Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market capitalization was trading at around $1.15 trillion, down 0.64% in the past 24 hours.

“Most cryptocurrencies fell late on Monday as investors await the U.S. central bank’s next interest rate decision on Wednesday. Bitcoin traded above the $28,000 level on Monday after that the US Federal Reserve announced that it has partnered with five other major central banks to ensure the flow of the US dollar, however, it has since declined slightly and is trading at the US$27,800 level,” Edul said. Other top crypto tokens were also trading lower on Tuesday. As of 11:40 a.m., Litecoin was trading over 4%, while Polkadot, Shiba Inu, and Dogecoin slid over 2%.

Total DeFi volume is currently $6.11 billion, or 8.51% of the total 24-hour crypto market volume. The volume of all stablecoins is now $65.27 billion, or 90.98% of the total 24-hour crypto market volume.

BTC volume in the past 24 hours was around $41.40 billion, down 1.70%. Bitcoin’s market capitalization was around $536.84 billion. Bitcoin dominance is currently at 46.48%, an increase of 0.53% on the day, according to CoinMarketCap.

“Bitcoin (BTC) encountered key resistance at the $28,000-$30,000 levels, which may indicate overbought conditions, so we expect a slight pullback before it can rise. The market is now considering the move from the U.S. Fed on interest rate hikes before taking a definitive turn,” said Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottos Crypto Platform. “The MACD level (12, 26), at 1288.91, indicates a buy. The Rapid Stochastic RSI (3, 3, 14, 14) is at 96.73 with a neutral indicator, while the Williams Percent Range (14 ) at -7.61 signals Neutral,” Menon added.
