In order to facilitate cooperation despite the sanctions, Russia and Cuba are peeping mutual settlements in rubles and cryptocurrencies. At the 38th international multi-sector fair FIHAV-2022, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights Boris Titov confirmed the news.
He said: “All of us, Cuba and Russia, are under sanctions. The circulation of the dollar is the main existing financial mechanism in the world for mutual payments, although today mechanisms are being developed at the level of the governments of the countries to change the situation.
He added that the issue of mutual payments in cryptocurrencies and private mechanisms was also being discussed. The 38th FIHAV-2022 multi-sectoral international fair took place from November 14 to 18 in 25 pavilions of the ExpoCuba exhibition complex in the Cuban capital.
More than 60 countries participated in FIHAV 2022, including Spain, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Russia, Canada, China, Italy and France.
