Long-time Fidelity customers have received some exciting offers in their inboxes from the financial services firm over the past few months: a new crypto trading platform for retail investors. Last November, the brokerage launched a waiting list for people interested in services that include commission-free custody and trading for Bitcoin and Ether. Fidelity Investments is one of the largest investment managers in the industry and one of the first financial services companies to offer crypto trading services to its clients. Clients who want to dip their toes into the digital asset market usually turn to exchanges such as FTX or Coinbase. But following the collapse of FTX, news from Fidelity’s digital asset platform could present curious crypto investors with another opportunity.
